If you’re lucky, you have the job that you love. But if you’re like most people, your job is looked at more with scorn that with adoration. 1.      Art Therapy

Do you love working with people and are you considering a career in art? If so, there are much arts related jobs that you might be interested. One such job is that of an Art Therapist. It has been shown that art can be used to invoke some different emotion related responses from the people viewing it.

As an Art Therapist, your job will be to work with these people and use art to help them deal with any psychological issues that might be preventing them from being happy. Art Therapy is a great career for anybody who loves both art and helping their fellow man.

2.      Arts Tutor

TutorAnother great job for art majors is that of an elementary or high school teacher. There are so many children and young adults today who have an interest in art but need someone to help them form a deep appreciation and understanding. As an art teacher, your job would be to work with young people to help then hone their talents, learn about different art movements and art forms, and allow them to understand truly the beauty of art.

3.      Tatoo Artist

A job as a tattoo artist can be the perfect for choice for art majors. If you don’t have a tattoo, I’m sure you know plenty of people that do, and they spend big bucks to get their “paint.” As a tattoo artist, your job would be to take peoples visions and translate them into art in the form of tattoos. A little knowledge of hygiene and training from an experienced tattoo artist is all you need to get started. Hopefully, needles aren’t a problem for you!

Many people have a misconception about what careers are available to artists, but as we have shown there are many other options available to you other than simply becoming a painter. Art has helped shaped the world we live in and still plays an important role today. If you consider all your options, you are sure to find a career in which you can make perfect use of your artistic abilities.
